Job summary

Perry Homes in Houston is seeking an entry-level Model Home Designer I to craft model home interiors that reflect market trends and Perry Homes standards. You will work with Model Home Managers and cross-functional teams to execute projects from concept to installation.

Ideal candidates have a design degree and 1–2 years of related experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Chief Architect, and Bluebeam. The role emphasizes collaboration, presentation, and timely delivery of cohesive design

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field is required.
1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Experience with space planning software (AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Bluebeam). Bluebeam experience is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to develop cohesive interior design concepts including furnishings and finishes.

Responsibilities

Independently design and execute small to mid-size model home interiors while maintaining Perry Homes brand standards and budget.
Collaborate across all design process phases with guidance from Model Home Managers.
Create and deliver professional presentations communicating design concepts and selections.
Select, purchase, and coordinate inventory for budgeted model home designs with warehouse/operations teams.
Develop installation plans and oversee model home installation, directing merchandising, artwork, and styling.
Research current design trends to support market-appropriate model home designs.
Build knowledge of floor plans and design standards for consistency across communities.
