Job summary

Tata Elxsi is seeking an experienced Automotive ECU software & hardware test engineer in the United States. The role focuses on validating ECUs for body and comfort systems, including lighting, using HIL methods and modern test tools.

Strong defect identification and test design skills are required to ensure robust functionality across platforms. Responsibilities include creating test specs, performing peer reviews, tracking defects, and reporting KPIs to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Automotive ECU software & hardware testing with strong defect identification skills.
• Hands-on expertise in HIL testing and end-to-end project lifecycle.
• Experience with dSPACE HIL, CANoe, and Vector VN hardware.
• Test automation experience using CAPL, Python, or C#.
• Familiarity with IBM DOORS Next Gen and PREEVision for requirement tracing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute automotive ECU software/hardware testing across domains.
• Design test cases and specifications; conduct peer reviews.
• Validate Body & Comfort ECUs including lighting systems and I/O.
• Lead defect tracking, KPI reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Support end-to-end HIL project lifecycles and automation efforts.
