Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation in New Bremen, OH, is seeking a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Systems Engineer to design, develop, and maintain HIL environments for embedded software and control validation.

You will design HIL architectures, create and maintain wiring schematics and ECU communication definitions, develop automated test scripts, and lead troubleshooting to ensure performance meets company and industry standards. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Vehicle Systems or Computer Engineering (or associate with 6+ years experience).
• Good written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain HIL systems to support embedded software validation.
• Develop Simulink models to interface with HIL hardware and CAN networks.
• Create and maintain wiring schematics, ECU definitions and documentation.
• Develop automated test scripts and tests within HIL frameworks.
• Lead troubleshooting and ensure performance meets standards and requirements.
• Produce metrics, reports, and traceability documentation.
