Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher Mod/Severe for the San Lorenzo, CA area. The role involves delivering individualized instruction to 9th–12th graders with moderate to severe disabilities, aligning with IEP goals, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires CA Special Education credential and offers a schedule from 8:15am to 3:45pm, full-time with a $50–$55 per hour pay range and a $2,500 placement bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• CA teaching certification or licensure in Special Education.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and best practices.
• Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instruction aligned with state standards and IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers to support inclusive practices.
• Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs in compliance with regulations.
• Communicate progress with parents/guardians and coordinate with administrators.
• Manage classroom behavior and implement BIPs as needed.
• Monitor student progress and participate in evaluations when required.
