Point Quest Group is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Mod-Severe) in San Lorenzo, CA for the 2026-2027 SY. The role focuses on individualized instruction for students with disabilities, aligning with IEPs and state standards.

Collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families is essential to support academic, social, and emotional growth. The position requires a Bachelor's in Special Education, state licensure, and knowledge of IDEA/IEP processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid state teaching certification or licensure in Special Education.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and special education best practices.
• Master's degree in Special Education or related field (preferred).
• Experience working with students with mild to severe disabilities.
• Experience in inclusive or co-teaching models.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver specialized instruction aligned with state standards and IEP goals.
• Adapt curriculum, instructional strategies, and materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Provide instruction in various settings, including general education classrooms, resource rooms, or self-contained classrooms.
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure accommodations and behavioral supports are implemented.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers; communicate with parents/guardians.
• Implement positive behavior supports and create a structured, inclusive learning environment.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and analyze data to inform instruction.
