Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Mobility Technician to support patient mobility in an acute care hospital setting. You will work with physical therapy and nursing teams to safely mobilize patients and educate families on mobility techniques for discharge home.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, basic math and medical terminology, and strong communication skills. Proficiency with EPIC, MS Office, and Google Suite is preferred. Training provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physical therapy and nursing to meet patient needs.
• Provide direct patient care to promote mobility and safe transfers.
• Educate families on mobility techniques for discharge home.
• Monitor vitals and document findings in the patient record.
• Maintain a safe environment and proper body mechanics.
• Complete required documentation and report unsafe conditions.
