Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Mobility Technician to assist with patient mobility in an acute care hospital. The role collaborates with physical therapy, nursing, and other clinicians to enhance patient mobility and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Suite and EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physical therapy and nursing teams to support patient mobility.
• Independently assist with transfers, ambulation and mobility for patients.
• Monitor vitals and document findings in the patient record.
• Educate families and caregivers on mobility techniques for discharge planning.
