Job summary

Mobility City of Idaho is seeking a Service Technician to visit customers’ homes and facilities across Idaho, diagnosing and repairing mobility equipment like scooters, power chairs, and lifts. You will handle electrical and mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and setup with a focus on safety and customer service.

The role requires strong electrical skills, a valid driver's license, physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, and willingness to travel throughout Idaho.

Qualifications

• Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Background in HVAC, auto repair, industrial maintenance, electronics, or appliance repair translates well.
• Scooter, power chair, or lift experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems on mobility devices.
• Troubleshoot wiring, motors, controllers, batteries, and charging systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and adjustments.
• Deliver, assemble, and set up new equipment (white glove deliveries).
• Train customers on safe operation and care of equipment.
• Build repair quotes, order parts, and track turnaround times.
• Complete detailed work orders and keep customers updated on progress.
