Job summary

Natural Systems Utilities is seeking a mobile, self-motivated operator for Ham Lake, MN, to perform operations and maintenance at multiple water and wastewater facilities. The role requires reliable time management to cover assigned routes with supervision support as needed.

Responsibilities include testing, record-keeping, preventive maintenance, and timely communication of issues. Weekend work and overtime may be required; a valid driver's license and wastewater licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 1 year of wastewater experience, preferred.
• 40 hour work week: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as requested.
• Overtime as required.
• MN Driver's License required.
• MN Class C or D Wastewater License (desired).
• MN Class C or D Water License (desired).
• Understanding of basic laboratory procedures.
• Understanding basic electrical troubleshooting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical testing of facility operations, such as pH, dissolved oxygen, chlorine.
• Maintain complete, accurate, legible records of all phases of facility operations.
• Maintain complete, accurate, legible records of all equipment and plant maintenance.
• Perform general preventive maintenance on treatment plant equipment.
• Submit event inspection and sampling reports in online database and prepare BRP summary forms.
• Inform Supervisor of plant problems, upsets, plant expansion, repairs.
• Work conscientiously and be aware of safety hazards.
• Operate plants to meet all regulatory guidelines and responsibilities.
• Develop scope of work for repairs or resamples and prepare work orders.
• Assist maintenance personnel with pump, blower, motor, valve removal.
• Maintain accurate records for gasoline, mileage, timesheets, expenses.
• Work scheduled weekends and occasional holidays for assigned routes.
• Project a positive image to operators, clients, regulatory agencies, engineers, etc.
