Job summary

Cox Automotive through Manheim is seeking Mobile Vehicle Condition Inspectors in Illinois. Roles include Level 1, Level 2, and Senior, with hourly ranges and monthly incentives for volume and performance.

Reimbursement for business use of a personal vehicle is included, along with initial guaranteed incentives. Inspectors work with dealer clients across an assigned territory, documenting vehicle conditions to support marketplace transparency and inventory flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record required.
• 0-1 years automotive-related experience preferred.
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections in accordance with Manheim inspection standards.
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles safely on dealer client lots.
• Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; ensure accurate system entry.
• Inspect and document exterior and interior vehicle conditions including tires, frame, glass, panels, and components.
• Perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
