Job summary

Manheim is hiring Mobile Inspectors to perform on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients across a territory. You will document vehicle condition accurately to support client trust and marketplace transparency.

Positions are available at Level 1, Level 2, and Senior levels with defined pay ranges. You will build relationships with dealers and work with Cox Automotive brands, maintaining safety and inspection standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimal automotive knowledge preferred (body and mechanical).
• 0-1 years of automotive-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections in accordance with Manheim inspection standards.
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles safely on dealer client lots.
• Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; ensure accurate system entry.
• Inspect and document exterior condition (tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components).
• Inspect and document interior condition (seating, dashboard, installed options).
• Perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
• Identify and document damage, missing components, or inoperable features.
