Job summary

Vellum Health seeks a dedicated Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) for a mobile role across Texas. You will assess, place, and manage vascular access devices, including PICCs and midlines, while delivering high-quality IV therapy and patient education.

The position requires 1.5–2 years PICC RN experience, strong assessment and critical thinking, and excellent communication skills. Travel to facilities within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Texas.
• Minimum 1.5–2 years current PICC RN experience.
• Proficiency in inserting vascular access devices (PICC, midlines, peripheral IVs).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot complications of vascular access.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform insertion, maintenance, and management of vascular access devices per protocols.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to select appropriate devices.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, device care, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists for care optimization.
• Maintain accurate documentation of vascular access procedures.
• Identify and address complications such as infection, thrombosis, and occlusions.
