Vellum Health is seeking a dedicated Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) to join our mobile healthcare team in Texas. The RN will specialize in assessment, placement, and management of vascular access devices for IV therapy across multiple locations.

Candidates should have at least 1.5–2 years of vascular access experience, Texas RN license, and strong clinical assessment, patient education, and teamwork skills. This mobile role requires travel within a 100-mile radius of home base.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current, active RN license in Texas.
• Experience: Minimum of 1.5-2 years of current experience as vascular access Registered Nurse.
• Skills: Proficiency in vascular access devices and procedures (e.g., PICC, midlines, peripheral IVs).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot complications associated with vascular access devices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and families.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual dexterity tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift and position patients as necessary.
• Travel Requirement: This is a mobile healthcare position. Clinicians travel to skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and other healthcare locations throughout their assigned region to provide vascular access services.

• Patient Education: Provide patients and families with information regarding vascular access procedures, device care, and maintenance, ensuring patient understanding and comfort.
• Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., physicians, other nurses, and specialists) to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal vascular access management.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of vascular access procedures.
• Troubleshooting and Complications Management: Identify and address potential complications such as infection, thrombosis, and occlusions. Provide care and interventions as necessary.
