Vellum Health is seeking a dedicated Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) to join our mobile healthcare team in Texas. The role focuses on assessment, placement, and management of vascular access devices for IV therapy across multiple locations, requiring advanced knowledge and calm under pressure.

The ideal candidate will have 1.5–2 years of vascular access experience, strong clinical assessment, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring patient safety

Qualifications

• Current, active Texas RN license is required.
• 1.5–2 years of vascular access RN experience.
• Proficiency with PICC, midlines, peripheral IVs and related devices.
• Strong communication and ability to educate patients and families.
• Willingness to travel for procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform insertion, maintenance, and management of vascular access devices per protocols.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to select appropriate access device.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, care and device maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs and specialists for comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of vascular access procedures.
• Identify and manage complications such as infection or thrombosis.
