Vellum Health is seeking a dedicated Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) to join a mobile healthcare team. The role focuses on assessment, placement, and management of vascular access for IV therapy across multiple sites in Texas.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of vascular access techniques, strong patient care protocols, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while delivering high-quality care to diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Texas.
• Minimum 1.5–2 years of vascular access RN experience.
• Proficiency with vascular access devices and procedures (PICC, midlines, peripheral IVs).
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Willingness to travel for procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform insertion, maintenance, and management of vascular access devices following evidence-based protocols.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to select appropriate access device.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, care, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists for comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of procedures and outcomes.
• Identify and address potential complications (infection, thrombosis, occlusions) and intervene as needed.
