Job summary

The United States Army Reserve seeks a Motor Transport Operator responsible for operating wheel vehicles and supervising personnel and cargo. You will manage loading, unloading, and safety for transportation across varied terrain and may prepare vehicles for movement by air, rail, or sea.

Training spans Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training with extensive field hours. This role supports diverse civilian driving careers, with comprehensive benefits and a strong community mindset.

Qualifications

• Be between the ages of 17–40.
• Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Submit to background and medical screening
• Receive a passing score on the ASVAB

Responsibilities

• Operate all-wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways.
• Manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported.
• Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
• Employ convoy defense techniques.
• Identify, correct, or report all vehicle deficiencies.
• Prepare vehicles for movement/shipment by air, rail, or vessel.
