Job summary

United States Army Reserve is seeking motor transport operators to supervise or operate wheel vehicles to transport personnel and cargo, supporting mobility on and off the battlefield.

Job duties include operating vehicles, managing loads, loading cargo, convoy defense, and ensuring proper vehicle preparation for movement by air, rail, or sea. Training includes Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training with extensive vehicle hours.

Qualifications

• Must have an interest in joining the Army.
• Ages 17 to 34.
• Must be able to meet height/weight requirements.
• No tattoos on hands, face, or above the neck (ring tattoos acceptable).
• No history of felony offenses.
• No major medical procedures that would prohibit service.

Responsibilities

• Operate all wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways.
• Manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported.
• Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
• Employ convoy defense techniques.
• Identify, correct or report all vehicle deficiencies.
• Prepare vehicle for movement/shipment by air, rail or vessel.
