Job summary

United States Army Reserve is seeking a Motor Transport Operator to supervise and operate wheel vehicles for personnel and cargo transport. You will support mobility on and off the battlefield and ensure safe loading and unloading of both people and equipment.

The role covers vehicle preparation for movement by air, rail, or sea, with opportunities to gain significant driving and logistics experience within a disciplined military environment.

Qualifications

• Be 17–40 years old.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Submit to background and medical screening.
• Pass ASVAB requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate all-wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways.
• Manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported.
• Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
• Employ convoy defense techniques.
• Identify, correct, or report vehicle deficiencies.
• Prepare vehicles for movement/shipment by air, rail, or vessel.
