Job summary

United States Army Reserve seeks qualified individuals for the Motor Transport Operator role. The position involves supervising and operating wheel vehicles to transport personnel and cargo, with emphasis on mobility on and off the battlefield.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Benefits cover comprehensive health and education programs for service members and families.

Qualifications

• Be between the ages of 17–40.
• Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Submit to background and medical screening.
• Receive a passing score on the ASVAB.

Responsibilities

• Operate all-wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways.
• Manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported.
• Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
• Employ convoy defense techniques.
• Identify, correct, or report all vehicle deficiencies.
• Prepare vehicles for movement/shipment by air, rail, or vessel.
