Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician III to master preventative maintenance on all trailer systems. You will diagnose, repair, and rebuild trailer components, and train other technicians. The role includes in-shop work between service calls and potential on-call rotation.

Requirements include 7+ years on Class 7/8 trailers, strong troubleshooting, welding, and air brake certification. A high school diploma or GED is mandatory; voiced preference for CDL and welding credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; welding certs are a plus.
• 7+ years repairing Class 7 & 8 trailers with strong diagnostic skills.
• Welding and air brake certification are preferred; Class A CDL optional.
• Must supply hand tools and toolbox; valid driver license is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Examine trailers to determine damage and malfunction.
• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild trailer components and systems.
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions and maintain 80% productivity.
• Repair brakes, axles, suspension parts, lights, and wiring.
• Perform routine maintenance: lubrications and part replacements.
• Work in shop between service calls and participate in on-call rotation if needed.

Partner with the best in the heavy-duty industry and apply today!GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Mobile Trailer Technician III is expected to have mastered all aspects of Preventative Maintenance on all trailer systems with the ability to train and develop other Technicians. Will perform all major and advanced adjustments, repairs, and component replacements. Perform advanced diagnostic operations in order to successfully diagnose trailer system failures and suggest accurate system repairs. This technician will also work in the shop between service calls.
