Job summary

FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. The Mobile Trailer Technician III will master preventative maintenance on trailer systems, perform advanced diagnostics, and train other technicians.

The role involves shop work between service calls and participation in after-hours on-call rotation as needed. We seek someone with 7+ years of trailer repair experience, strong troubleshooting, and welding certification.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience repairing class 7 & 8 trailers.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities for complex issues.
• Welding certification or experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Examine trailers to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Diagnose, repair, build and rebuild trailer components.
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions to customers.
• Maintain 80% productivity and minimize comebacks.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication and component replacements.
• Repair or replace brakes; fix axles, suspension parts, lights, wiring.
• Repair trailer body, doors, roof, and structural parts.
• Test components with proper equipment.
• Troubleshoot suspension systems including Hendrickson walking beam.
• Welding and metal finishing as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and service truck.
• Practice safe driving.

Partner with the best in the heavy-duty industry and apply today!GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Mobile Trailer Technician III is expected to have mastered all aspects of Preventative Maintenance on all trailer systems with the ability to train and develop other Technicians. Will perform all major and advanced adjustments, repairs, and component replacements. Perform advanced diagnostic operations in order to successfully diagnose trailer system failures and suggest accurate system repairs. This technician will also work in the shop between service calls.
