FleetPride in New Castle, DE is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose trailer systems, and repair class 7 and 8 trailers. The role includes shop work between service calls and a possible after-hours on-call rotation.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, vocational/welding training is a plus, and 3+ years of trailer repair experience. A Class A CDL is preferred, and you must provide hand tools, air tools, and a toolbox.

Responsibilities

Inspect trailers to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
Diagnose, repair, build, and rebuild trailer components.
Provide preventive maintenance solutions and keep productivity high (80% target).
Perform routine maintenance such as lubrications and component replacements.
Repair brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
Troubleshoot suspension systems including Hendrickson walking beam type.
Weld basic aluminum and steel elements.
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and service truck.
