Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and both basic and advanced repairs on Class 7 and 8 trailers. You will work in the shop between service calls and may participate in after-hour on-call rotations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding trailer components, maintaining 80% productivity, and performing brake and suspension work with welding as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; welding cert/degree is a plus.
• 3+ years repairing Class 7 & 8 trailers and performing welding.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred; clean safety record.

Responsibilities

• Examine trailers to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Diagnose, repair, build and rebuild trailer components and systems.
• Provide preventive maintenance solutions and maintain 80% productivity.
• Repair, reline, replace and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
• Test components and troubleshoot suspension and welding tasks.

Skills

Class A CDL preferred

3+ years trailer repair experience

Strong mechanical aptitude

Education
