Job summary

Pace Transportation Services is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on commercial trailers at customer locations. You will be the company’s in-field representative, delivering safe, high-quality service and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities include DOT inspections, welding and fabrication as needed, and timely documentation of work orders.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Technical or vocational training in trailer repair or related field preferred.
Previous trailer repair experience preferred.
Experience with brake, suspension, electrical and welding is advantageous.
Valid driver's license is required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance inspections on commercial trailers.
Diagnose and repair trailer systems including brakes, suspension, wheel-end assemblies, electrical and lighting.
Carry out DOT inspections and complete required documentation.
Repair or replace damaged trailer components and perform welding/fabrication as needed.
Travel to customer locations to perform scheduled and emergency repairs.
Document labor hours, repairs, parts used, and inspection findings in work orders.
