RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is seeking a skilled Mobile Trailer Mechanic for the 2nd shift in Romulus, MI. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing semi-trailer systems while delivering mobile on-site service to customers.

The ideal candidate has trailer/mechanic experience, valid DL, ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and can lift 50lbs. Overtime after 40 hours; 2nd shift, weekends not required.

Qualifications

• Experience as trailer mechanic or diesel mechanic.
• Ability to diagnose and repair semi-trailer systems.
• Strong communication with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including ABS, frame, body, doors, tires and electrical systems.
• Independently motivated professional dedicated to providing top-notch service.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Properly operate the mobile Service Truck.

About the Job

A successful candidate for this position would be an experienced Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. Someone who is self-motivated, safety-minded, enjoys mobile service truck work and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.

• $30-$34/hour or commensurate with experience.
• Quarterly Safety & Performance Bonuses after 90 days.
• Monday-Friday - 2nd shift
• Paid holidays and vacations time.
• 401(k) after 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.

Requirements

• Trailer Mechanic experience required.
• Outdoor, mobile service truck position.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
