RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Mechanic in the Lansing, MI area. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing semi truck systems, with a customer-facing, safety-minded approach and potential for growth in a service-truck environment.

Compensation ranges from $28 to $35 per hour, with quarterly safety and performance bonuses after 90 days, day shift, boot/clothing allowance after 90 days, holidays, vacations, and a 401(k) after 1 year.

Qualifications

• Must have heavy duty truck repair experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a physical and Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose truck systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and parts.
• Independently motivated professional, dedicated to providing top-notch service.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customer.
• Follow all safety requirements while servicing trucks and operating Service Truck.

About the Job

A successful candidate for this position will be an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Mechanic, with a strong understanding of semi truck diagnostics and repair. Someone who is self-motivated, safety-minded, and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers. Service Truck experience strong preferred.
