Job summary

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair in Romulus, MI seeks an experienced Mobile Trailer Mechanic for the 2nd shift. You will diagnose and repair semi-trailer systems on a mobile service truck, communicate clearly with customers and co-workers, and uphold safety standards.

Ideal candidates have trailer or diesel mechanic background, valid license, ability to pass DOT and drug screening, and lift up to 50 lbs. This outdoor, mobile role offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Trailer Mechanic experience required.
• Outdoor, mobile service truck position.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including but not limited to: ABS, frame, body, doors, tires and electrical systems.
• Independently motivated professional, dedicated to providing top-notch service.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Properly operate the mobile Service Truck.
• Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and while driving the Service Truck.

About The Job

A successful candidate for this position would be an experienced Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. Someone who is self-motivated, safety-minded, enjoys mobile service truck work and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.
