Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking skilled technicians to install and service GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors and tracking equipment across our fleet customers. You’ll work on light-duty vehicles and commercial assets, perform 12V/24V wiring, and ensure clean, secure installations with thorough documentation.

Candidates should have hands-on automotive experience, knowledge of electrical systems, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical or installation experience.
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working independently in a mobile environment.
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around vehicles and trailers.
21+ years of age.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
Maintain safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
Occasionally work weekends or adjusted schedules; travel to customer locations for mobile installations.
