Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking skilled technicians to install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and related equipment on light vehicles and commercial fleets. You’ll work in mobile settings with hands-on automotive and electrical tasks.

Candidates bring hands-on automotive or electrical experience, basic wiring skills, and the ability to read wiring diagrams and test system functionality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
