Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment on light and heavy vehicles.

You’ll perform 12V/24V wiring, route wiring for clean installations, test systems, and travel to customer locations for mobile projects. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and right-first-time installations while growing in a dynamic fleet-technology environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
