Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions seeks skilled technicians to install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and related equipment on light-duty and fleet vehicles. The role emphasizes safe, right-first-time installations performed at customer sites with mobile capabilities.

Candidates should have automotive, electrical, or installation backgrounds, plus diagnostic knowledge and strong manual skills. A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics.
• Comfort with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Independent work in a mobile environment.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
