Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology on light and heavy vehicles. You will travel to customer sites for mobile installations and projects, performing 12V/24V wiring, wiring routing, testing connectivity, and documenting work.

Qualifications

Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
Comfortable reading wiring diagrams and using basic wiring instructions.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light- and heavy-duty fleet assets.
Perform 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, and trailer connections.
Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
Test GPS connectivity, cameras, and system functionality.
Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
Document completed installations with photos and notes.
Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations.
Maintain safety and right-first-time installations.
