Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers. You’ll work hands-on in a mobile environment, traveling to customer sites to complete installations and provide excellent service.

Ideal candidates have automotive or electrical/mechanical backgrounds, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
