Job summary

Thompson Truck Group seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy‑duty trucks on customer sites throughout the service area. You’ll operate a fully equipped vehicle, perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance, and communicate findings to customers and service advisors.

Qualifications

• Diesel technician experience diagnosing and repairing heavy‑duty trucks.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and components.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, suspensions, and drivetrains
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
• Communicate findings and recommendations with customers and service advisors
• Accurately document work performed and parts used
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked mobile service vehicle
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Deliver outstanding customer service while representing Thompson Truck Group in the field

Do you enjoy working independently, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service directly to customers? Thompson Truck Group is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to provide on-site maintenance and repair services for commercial trucks throughout our service area.

• Advanced diagnostic computer experience
• Vocational or technical training in diesel technology
