Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers LLC is hiring Diesel Technicians to diagnose and repair diesel trucks, coordinate parts, and ensure safety standards across our service centers. The role involves vehicle inspections, road tests when needed, and supervising apprentices as assigned, with continual training opportunities.

We seek candidates with at least 2 years of heavy-truck experience, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years heavy truck experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License (required).
• Background screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment consideration.
• Safety shoes are required on day one of employment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair on diesel trucks or equipment.

• Keeps shop area neat and clean for safety of personnel.
• Supervises work of any apprentice diesel technicians as assigned.

Our unique footprint allows us to provide a diverse range of products and services across many industries, and across the country.BENEFITS:Competitive salary401k with employer matchMedicalOptional life and LTDFlexible Spending AccountPTO Paid Time Off programSelf-paced training optionsCareer Advancement OpportunitiesRetention BonusRESPONSIBILITIES for Diesel TechniciansDiesel Technicians performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair on diesel Trucks or equipment.Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.Diesel Technician will documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.Diesel Technician will participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.Supervises work of any apprentice diesel technicians as assigned.Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.Ensures that customers' vehicles are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.Keeps shop area neat and clean for your safety and safety of other diesel technicians.Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.Reports any safety issues immediately to management.- Minimum of 2 years heavy truck experience preferred- Valid Driver's License (required)- Ability to meet insurability requirementsSafety shoes are required on day one of employment.
