Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers is seeking qualified automotive technicians to perform vehicle repairs and diagnostics in a fast-paced dealership environment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and coordinate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.

Applicants should be capable of following safety procedures, maintaining tools and shop area, and adhering to company standards. Background screening is required and safety footwear must be worn from day one.

Qualifications

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Maintains and is accountable for tools and manuals.
• Keeps shop area neat and clean.
• Follows safety regulations and uses PPE from day one.

Responsibilities

• Performs work on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy per dealership standards.
• Diagnoses vehicle malfunctions and performs repairs.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain necessary parts.
• Saves and tags parts; ensures warranty handling when applicable.
• Road tests vehicles when required or as directed by service advisor.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and adheres to safety regulations.

Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.Keeps shop area neat and clean.Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.Reports any safety issues immediately to management.All levels of education and/or experienceAutomotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications (Optional)Valid Driver's LicenseBackground screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment consideration.Safety shoes are required on day one of employment.
