Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana is seeking a Mobile Workforce Specialist to drive mobile youth outreach and workforce readiness. This part-time, hourly role will deliver hands-on technology programming and career exploration directly in schools and community settings.

You will lead 3D printing, CAD/design, Cricut/XTool projects, and STEM activities while helping teens develop resumes, interviewing skills, and workplace readiness. Some travel to partner sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Experience working with youth/teens.
• Interest in workforce development, technology, maker-space activities or career readiness.
• Familiarity with 3D printing, Cricut, XTool, digital design, or similar technology.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to various community locations and transport/setup program equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must successfully complete required background checks and youth protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support the Mobile Club at schools, community events, neighborhoods, and partner locations.
• Engage and recruit youth and teens through innovative, hands-on programming.
• Build positive relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners.
• Assist with mobile equipment setup, transportation, organization, and maintenance.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for participants.
• Develop and facilitate workforce readiness programming for teens (resume development, applications, interviewing).
• Coordinate career speakers, job fairs, employer visits, internships and other experiences.
• Lead technology projects (3D printing, CAD/design, Cricut, XTool).
• Mentor youth and support leadership programs.
