Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician I in Tennessee to maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment, including containers, office trailers, and modular buildings.

You will perform safe cleaning and maintenance per company standards and may also handle duties of an Equipment Associate. You will demonstrate knowledge of quality standards, complete tasks on time, document work orders, and travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active applicable state class driver’s license.
• Related maintenance experience a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Teamwork and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize required information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers’ warranty process.
• Accurately record time and material used for proper work order completion.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards and perform basic maintenance and repairs.
• Complete assignments on time and within budget.
• Document work orders and inspections.
• Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist CDL A Drivers when needed.
• Maintain organization of shop, yard, tools and supplies per 5S guidelines.
• Operate forklifts when required.
• Inspect inbound and outbound equipment per Rental Flow.
