Job summary

GeneID Laboratories is seeking a Specimen Collector in Cleveland to serve as the primary liaison between our patients in Long Term Care Facilities and the lab. You will collect, process, and ship specimens, ensuring proper labeling and chain-of-custody throughout the workflow.

The role requires an Associate’s or higher in life sciences or related field, or a bachelor’s in hospitality, communication, nursing, life sciences, or related field, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in life sciences or a related field, or a 4-year degree in hospitality or nursing.
• Driver's license required.
• Comfortable with on-site tech and remote IT support assistance as needed.
• Confident with on-site client relationships for setup and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collections at Long Term Care Facilities.
• Ensure complete and accurate labeling on all specimens.
• Process, package, and ship specimens to preserve viability for analysis.
• Operate and maintain equipment used at GeneID Laboratories.
• Follow GeneID PPE and sanitization protocols.
• Maintain appropriate levels of supplies for collection and processing.
• Identify and convey issues that could affect service delivery and provide improvement feedback.
• Maintain licensure and training requirements as applicable.
