Job summary

Genesis Reference Laboratories is seeking a Collections Care Specialist to be the face of Genesis in the field and at partner sites. You will perform specimen collection, provide patient-centered support, and manage logistics as part of a fast-paced healthcare team.

This role requires direct patient interaction, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently at multiple sites. Experience with EMR/EHR and Genuin LIS is preferred, with reliable transportation and a commitment to

Qualifications

• 1+ year of direct patient care or customer service experience
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn systems (Genuin, EMR/EHR)
• Reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Professional communication (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens with precision and professionalism
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered support during collections
• Use our LIS system (Genuin) for patient entry, orders, and documentation
• Prepare and manage collection kits and supplies
• Transport specimens safely as part of our medical courier workflow
• Serve as a key liaison between Genesis and partner healthcare providers
• Support site operations and growth across assigned locations
