Job summary

PNC is seeking a Software Engineer - iOS/Android within its Digital Security & Authentication organization. The role is based in Pittsburgh, PA, with additional locations Denver, CO, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX.

We are looking for an experienced developer to build enterprise-scale web and mobile apps using Java backends, modern frontend frameworks, and secure mobile solutions. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, QA, and DevOps to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience developing Java enterprise applications.
• Experience with Java 11+/Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• REST API development and microservices architecture.
• Frontend experience with Angular, React, or Vue.
• Mobile development experience for iOS and/or Android.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and modern web technologies.
• Build scalable backend services with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices.
• Develop responsive UIs using Angular/React/Vue, HTML5 and CSS.
• Design and optimize relational/NoSQL databases and integrate with APIs.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX, QA, and DevOps to deliver secure solutions.
• Develop and maintain mobile apps for iOS and Android and support release processes.
• Participate in CI/CD, testing, code reviews and performance/security improvements.
