Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services, a leading Medical Waste Service Provider, seeks a Sharps Technician to safely place, collect, and transport reusable sharps and medical waste containers across assigned facilities. You will maintain service schedules, ensure compliant handling, and deliver exceptional service to hospital staff and other waste generators.

Paid training and company uniforms are provided. The role requires strong communication, independence, and flexibility to work outside normal

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Background check, drug screening, and healthcare screenings as required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Lifting up to 75 lbs and pushing/pulling heavy carts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Travel between and within facilities to place, collect, and service sharps containers.
• Collect and transport pharmaceutical waste to designated areas.
• Maintain a strict service and collection schedule.
• Communicate status and service updates on a set schedule.
• Build strong customer relationships and resolve questions or concerns.
• Ensure safe handling of medical waste in clinical environments.
• Operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Document activities and follow procedures.
