Job summary

Prime Secured seeks a Traveling Security Technician to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain access control systems, electronic key systems, and IP video surveillance. This role requires daily travel across states and staying at various client locations.

You will coordinate with Project Managers and Engineering, ensuring systems meet manufacturer specs and safety standards while maintaining organized tools and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays.
• Able to travel consistently for extended periods.
• Within 60 miles of an airport for long-distance travel.
• Clean driving record with no DUIs in past five years.
• One year of security field experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of low-voltage cabling experience.
• Familiar with hand and power tools and MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license; good judgment and strong organization.
• Exceptional customer service and alignment with core values.

Responsibilities

• Independently install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Electronic Access Control Systems.
• Travel daily to job sites and client locations for installations and service.
• Maintain readiness by stocking and organizing tools and materials.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Video Surveillance Systems.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Alarm Systems.
• Pull, route, and terminate various cables as needed.
• Test systems to ensure proper operation per manufacturer specs.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and team members on updates.
• Coordinate with Engineering to program alarm, access, and IP video systems.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on alarm, access, and video systems.
• Maintain high quality standards on all installations and organize parts/tools.
• Maintain accurate daily records and ensure safety practices.
• Other duties assigned.
