Job summary

Evergreen Treatment Services seeks a Community Based Safety Specialist to oversee safety and client engagement in mobile settings. You will ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff while coordinating with behavioral health teams in Seattle.

The role involves driving a mobile treatment unit, setting up facilities, building rapport with patients, and supporting service plans with counselors. Strong safety and de-escalation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Lived Experience as a foundation for safety work.
• Strong understanding of equity and inclusion in service delivery.
• Ability to drive and operate a mobile treatment unit and coordinate with emergency services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Behavioral Health team to oversee safety and client engagement in the community.
• Ensure safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Drive, operate, and maintain a mobile treatment vehicle in urban areas.
• Set up and operate a mobile treatment facility in urban environments.
• Develop rapport with patients using respectful, person-centered engagement.
• Orient new patients to remote TIM locations and manage patient flow.
• Monitor activities for safety risks and enforce program rules.
• Submit incident reports and monitor hazardous materials and conditions.
• Coordinate with Counselors and Case Managers on individual service plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
• Conduct twice-daily safety inspections of the mobile unit and monitor security systems.
• Maintain vehicle systems (water, tires, fuel) and stock supplies.
• Assist emergency services during responses to remote locations.
• Respond to alarms and support patients with behavioral issues in urban settings.
• Attend team and required meetings and perform other duties.
