Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Union Mobile Route Engineer to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across multiple facilities supporting a major telecommunications client.

This mobile role includes a company-issued service van, tools, equipment, and technology provided by CBRE. The position falls under the Engineering and Technical Services function, ensuring facilities meet safety, operational, and client standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Universal CFC (EPA) Certification required.
• Experience supporting HVAC and building systems in a commercial or critical environment.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including standing, walking, climbing ladders/stairs, stooping, and lifting 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to use a computer, tablet, or mobile device for work orders, email, training, and documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and apply technical knowledge to solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, control systems, and general building components across multiple sites.
• Review work orders, estimate labor and materials, complete repairs, and document everything.
• Support preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and lifecycle performance.
• Inspect building systems to ensure design specs and client environmental requirements.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and company directives.
• Operate a company-issued vehicle safely for daily route-based tasks.
• Apply technical knowledge to solve maintenance issues.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and client representatives.
