Job summary

Watco is seeking a Signal Maintainer to join our mobile maintenance crew. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and install railroad signal and crossing systems at various sites to keep operations safe and on track.

You will work with electrical, mechanical, and electronic components, follow safety procedures, and travel to multiple locations, including nights and weekends. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Background in railroad signal maintenance or related technical field.
• Ability to read technical documents, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Willingness to travel extensively as part of a mobile crew.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair railroad signal and crossing systems.
• Work with signal equipment foundations, masts, heads, gates, and cables.
• Test signals and communications cables to plan specifications.
• Travel to project sites and operate as part of a mobile crew.
• Follow FRA rules, safety procedures, and company standards.
