Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) to join our expanding team in Oak Park, IL and surrounding areas. This full-time role involves operating X-Ray equipment, patient preparation, exam completion, and travel between designated locations within the region.

You will support patient care with safety-focused imaging, EMR documentation, and coordination with providers. Benefits include PTO, medical coverage, 401(k) match, CME reimbursement, and license renewal

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, or student near graduation.
• Active ARRT Certification and registration; applicable state licensure.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down all X-Ray equipment.
• Identify patient and confirm the examination ordered.
• Travel to designated locations within assigned region to perform X-Ray exams as listed on worklist.
• Maintain and log the company fleet vehicle usage and daily checklist.
• Communicate with on-site teams and monitor radiology workflow.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform X-Rays per safety protocols.
• Obtain patient history and note observations during examination.
• Use radiation protection and shielding materials appropriately.
• Ensure radiology equipment operates correctly and report malfunctions.
• Complete radiologic procedures in EMR for billing and charting.
• Obtain pre-authorization for CT scans from insurance providers.
• Confirm X-Ray exam in PACS and ensure report is available in chart.
• Resolve reading discrepancies with the medical provider.
• Assist with site cleanliness and stocking.
• Participate in quality control and assurance programs.
• Provide basic medical assisting and occupational medicine support as needed.
