Job summary

Hometown Urgent Care in Ohio seeks a skilled X-Ray Technician to join a friendly, fast-paced outpatient team. You will perform routine diagnostic X-rays, ensure patient comfort, and support providers with accurate imaging reports in a low-stress clinic setting.

The position requires active RT certification, 1–2 years of clinic experience where applicable, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to travel locally between Troy, Sidney and Piqua sites.

Qualifications

• Active RT certification required; applicable state license if required.
• 1–2 years of clinic or physician practice experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel locally between Troy, Sidney and Piqua sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard radiographic exams as ordered by providers; no fluoroscopy.
• Support patient intake: history, vitals, and registration.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment.
• Document X-ray procedures accurately in EMR.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience with clear communication and care.
• Assist with light clinical flow tasks and onboarding of new staff.

Overview:
Are you looking for a more relaxed, patient-focused radiology role—without the stress of surgery or complex imaging procedures? We are seeking a dependable and professional X-Ray Technician to join our friendly, fast-paced team. This is a low-stress clinical position with no surgeries, no fluoroscopic exams and no hospital environment. As part of our outpatient urgent care setting, you’ll support providers by performing routine diagnostic X-rays and helping ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for every patient.

This position would float between Troy, Sidney and Piqua clinics

Duties:

• Perform standard radiographic exams as ordered by providers—no fluoroscopy or advanced imaging required
• Assist with basic patient intake: history, vitals, and registration
• Maintain clean, well-stocked, and organized exam rooms
• Ensure proper function and cleanliness of X-ray equipment; report issues promptly
• Log and document X-ray procedures accurately
• Support a positive patient experience with clear communication and compassionate care
• Occasionally train new team members and assist in light clinical flow tasks

• Active RT certification (required)
• 1–2 years of experience in a clinic or physician practice preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while being a team player
• Basic EMR/computer skills
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally between designated sites
