Job summary

Leidos’ Defense Systems Mechanical Design & Analysis Department in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Mobile Radar Mechanical Design Engineer to design the ALPS-M sensor product. You will use SolidWorks and Windchill daily to turn concepts into hardware, collaborating with production and testing teams to integrate, assemble, and verify components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with <2 years' experience.
• Strong SolidWorks user with drawing generation in accordance with ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5.
• Basic understanding and application of GD&amp;T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Excellent attention-to-detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Active DoD security clearance (or eligibility to obtain and maintain clearance).

Responsibilities

• Structural and enclosure design using SolidWorks CAD; drawing generation per ASME Y14.100/Y14.5.
• Produce technical data packages in accordance with MIL-STD-31000.
• Collaborate with production and testing teams to integrate and verify hardware.
