Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mobile Radar Mechanical Designer in Huntsville, AL to design the Army LRP Surveillance-Mobile product using SolidWorks and Windchill. You will develop CAD designs for sheet metal, machined parts, welded structures, and bolted assemblies while collaborating with the mechanical design team.

The role requires a strong technical contributor with experience in GD&T, drawings per ASME standards, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology or Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent.
• 2+ years of applicable experience - junior to senior levels.
• Strong SolidWorks user.
• Experience generating drawings per ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5.
• Basic GD&T understanding and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Strong attention-to-detail.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in teams.
• Active DoD security clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Structural and enclosure design via SolidWorks CAD software, drawing generation in accordance with ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5, and producing technical data packages in accordance with MIL-STD-31000
